Bacliff Expeditionary Fleet
The Bacliff Expeditionary Fleet (or Expeditionary Fleet of Bacliff) is the principal research fleet of the Bacliff Exploration Society. Organizationally modeled after naval aircraft carrier groups, the fleet consists of the principal research vessel Solitaire and her associated support vessels and remote stations.

Members
Currently the BEF only consists of HMS Solitaire and HMS Sharktypus. Eventually, the ESOB Sea Laird envisions a 100 vessel group, conjuring comparisons to the great oceangoing convoys of yore.
Exploration History
Crossing the Okeechobee
In 2013, esteemed members of the Bacliff Exploration Society launched an expedition to navigate the Okeechobee Waterway. As with any great journey of discovery, this expedition led to the development of several enabling technologies, including the "Pump-U-Suck", Ham Radio Email Codes, and the Morpheus Bravo Lander.
Auto-Sharktypus CRV
In celebration of the 209th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar, the Bacliff Exploration Society launched an effort to retrofit HMS Sharktypus to be an automated vehicle. The addition of automation led HMS Sharktypus to be designated as a CRV (catfish retrieval vehicle). The Lairds were consulted to designate a worthy representative to serve as passenger on the first voyage, a person in whom is combined the qualities of unflappable courage, rugged determination, and insatiable rage. While most members of ESOB embody the latter two qualities, the only person who possesses all three is Killbot. Killbot has entered a grueling training regimen to prepare him for the rigors of climbing aboard an automated plywood dinghy and just sitting there. Preparations of HMS Sharktypus herself are still ongoing.
