The explosion of the Cygnus CRS Orb-3 Antares launch vehicle shortly after liftoff inspired many great works of song and poetry.
Poetry
There once was a rocket called Antares
Supplies for the ISS it ferries
It launched then slowed
Next, fell and explode
Say good bye to all it carries
ANTARES
Gotta go to space
ANTARES
Don't get egg on your face
ANTARES
Yay we got off the ground
ANTARES
Uh oh what was that sound
ANTARES
ANTARES
ANTARES
bongos
Two paths diverged in Wallops
and I chose the one that slammed back into the launch pad.
Antares has shown to be iffy,
And left the East coast a bit whiffy,
I must state with a sigh, if you need your stuff high,
The Atlas gets there in a jiffy.
Orbital Sciences is miffed
For some cargo it attempted to lift.
But if launch it cannot
On the engines they bought,
Then to SpaceX the cargo must shift.
