The Texas Electric Reliability Council (sometimes called the Electric Reliability Council of Texas or ERCOT) is a secret society formed to manage Texas's strategic reserves of natural gas, plutonium, Helium-3, and whale oil. Despite the similarities in name and leadership structure, the ERCOT is not to be confused with the Exploration Society of Bacliff.

The ERCOT is composed of a board of 6-10 lairds, presided over by the Toastmaster General. The laird positions include:
- Deregulation Laird
- Grid Laird
- Retail Laird
- Hubris Laird
- Scape Laird (formerly known as Wind Laird)
- Spokeslaird
- Winterization Laird [defunct position]
