C++ is a god-forsaken monstrosity of a programming language, created by Sauron, and modeled closely on the Black Speech of Mordor. C++ is based on C, and contains all of that language's mistakes and bad ideas. C++ builds upon C, by adding even more horrendous and obscure "objected oriented" syntax. Many engineers have been misled into thinking that C++ (or even C) are the programming languages they should be using, in spite of the fact that most of them should be using Fortran 2008.
