Julia is a programming language that was written to combine:

  • the readability advantages of MATLAB
  • the performance advantages of C++
  • the quaint charm of Ada
  • the disadvantages of a do-it-yourself language.

Julia is written in Julia, which in turn is written in the tears of children.

The best way to learn Julia is to invent it from scratch.
