Whales are considered to be the cows of the sea. The deliciousness of whale meat lead to them being hunted to near extinction. Several years ago, international protection was enacted to preserve some breeding stock for future generations of whalers.

As well as being the perfect cooking oil, whale oil can be used to power a space-based laser generation system.
