Gulden Meriwether Draak was the faithful sidekick of renowned Arctic explorer Thomas Cuthbert Campbell III. In 1911, Draak was the captain of the HMS Solitaire for a brief period, before he was lost in the Bering Sea in a stitch-and-glue dinghy.
