Crab

The crab is the larval stage of a seagull. Once a seagull egg hatches, the larva spends two to three years in the crab stage before molting out of its hard shell into the adult seagull feathers. While in the crab stage, the seagull larva learns how to run around on sand, dig in sand, and how to recognize the delicious garbage that will make up the bulk of its adult diet.
