Chateau Jay (KF5JHR) is an accomplished Rocket Scientist, Junior Ham radio Rangers, pilot and sailor, and is the science adviser to the Exploration Society of Bacliff. He was recently indoctrinated into the JSC Amateur Radio Club following an antenna tower climb hazing incident.

Chateau began his aerospace engineering career working on the FASTRAC student satellite project. His first task was to build a wooden shipping container known affectionately as the Satellite Coffin. This left him deadlocked with the timber industry as he struggled to get them to change the dimensions of a 2X4 to 2" by 4". Little did he know the timber industry uses the PEMS system of measure.

Chateau's next life altering event was his introduction to Tena Wang who took an instant dislike to his first name. Things came to a boil in a cheap hotel in Albuquerque NM when Tena went incommunicado.

Following graduation from "The University" Chateau moved to Houston and resurrected Fortran back in to the mainstream of software languages used for orbital analysis. He accomplished this feat by coding a brand new version of SORT. Within hours of completion he was RIF'ed, probably because he was perceived as a threat to NASA.

Chateau is presently engaged in raising awareness and understanding of the plight of his native people, the Celts.
